At the Pulmonary Critical Care Fellowship Program at Upstate Medical University, we understand that you may have questions about our program. We invite you to explore the information below, where you will find answers to questions commonly asked by prospective or incoming fellows.
We will participate in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP).

We will no longer consider applicant scores while reviewing applications as USMLE scores are now pass/fail.
At least 3 Letters of Recommendation are required.
We accept international medical graduates if they have ECFMG certification and they have successfully completed an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine Residency.
We sponsor both J-1 and H-1B Visas.
We offer both external rotations for residents and observerships for medical students. For more information, please refer to External Rotations/Observerships.
Interviews are scheduled from August through October.
Although we would appreciate the opportunity to converse with you directly regarding your academic accomplishments, it is impossible to speak with individual applicants due to the enormous number of applicants received. We ask that you wait for an email from us, which will happen once a decision has been made on your application.
