Within the Department of Medicine at SUNY Upstate Medical University, gastroenterologists play an integral role in a diverse array of research projects. These projects encompass various levels of research, reflecting their commitment to advancing the understanding and treatment of gastrointestinal conditions.
The Clinical Research Unit (CRU) at Upstate Medical University is strategically situated within the Institute for Human Performance. Dedicated to the advancement of the human condition, the CRU conducts an extensive range of research endeavors, including Phase I-IV clinical trials, device studies, and investigator-initiated studies. Through these research methods, the CRU seeks to unlock new insights and innovations that hold the potential to transform patient care and outcomes.
To facilitate this vital research, interdisciplinary teams work collaboratively, providing exceptional patient care while striving to ensure the satisfaction of patients, investigators, and sponsors alike.
