Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology
The Division of Rheumatology at Upstate Medical University is dedicated to delivering advanced diagnosis and treatment for arthritis and conditions affecting the joints, muscles, and skin. Our comprehensive services include diagnostic evaluations, therapeutic joint injections, and specialized infusion therapies. Our dedicated physicians specialize in the diagnosis and management of systemic inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.
Our esteemed faculty actively engage in teaching and research within the field of rheumatology and immunology. The division has gained international recognition for its contributions to both basic and clinical research, particularly in the study of lupus and systemic autoimmune diseases.
In July 2017, the Center for Autoimmune and Inflammation Disorder (LACE Center) was established. This center focuses on exploring the metabolic control of autoimmunity, inflammation, and immune health, further advancing our understanding and treatment of these conditions.
In addition to providing outpatient services at University Health Care Center (UHCC), Hill Medical Center, and the VA Medical Center, our faculty also offers inpatient consultation services at University Hospital, Crouse Hospital, and the VA Hospital of Syracuse, ensuring comprehensive care for our patients across various healthcare settings.
