FAQs
We understand you may have some unanswered questions. Please use our Frequently Asked Questions below for more information about our Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism Fellowship Program. Should you need additional information, please contact our Program Director or Coordinator.
A candidate is selected for our fellowship based on a number of factors. These include, but are not limited to: performance on standardized tests; grades and transcripts; letters of recommendation; degree of research experience; personal statements; academic interests; completion of Internal Medicine Residency training at least Board Eligible status; and interview performance.
We accept international medical graduates if they have ECFMG certification and they have done their residency in an ACGME-accredited program.
We will sponsor J1 & H1B Visas, Permanent Resident, and EAD.
Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate outside learners within the Department of Medicine.
September
The Fellowship Selection Sub-Committees will extend interview invitations only after reviewing completed applications. For an application to be considered complete, the following items must be included: Application, CV, personal statement, MSPE, medical school transcript, USMLE Steps 1, 2, and 3 scores, and at least 3 letters of recommendation. We will contact interviewing candidates (by email) as early as possible to permit suitable travel planning.
Interviews will be held virtually this year due to the restrictions put in place by COVID-19.
We ask that applicants take special care in picking their interview dates in order to avoid having to request a change.
Due to the number of applicants, only those selected for interview will be contacted.
