Clinical Trials
Clinical trials are a critical component of medical breakthroughs and discoveries. Clinical trials involve assessing the use of new medical treatments, tools, or interventions on human participants. It’s an opportunity to identify improved methods of preventing, diagnosing, or treating disease, as well as enhancing a patient’s quality of life.
Qualified patients who volunteer for a clinical trial enjoy access to the latest innovations in medicine for the duration of the trial. In some cases, you may even be provided a stipend or subsidy for participating in the study.
The criteria required to participate in clinical trials varies, so please ask your Department of Medicine provider if there are any current clinical trials that may be right for you. To learn more about clinical trials, visit our clinical trials page.
