Schedules
The Infectious Disease Fellowship at Upstate Medical University follows a structured schedule, designed to provide comprehensive training in both clinical care and research. The program, spanning over two years, balances well-structured clinical rotation with dedicated time for research, ensuring fellows garner real-world experience while pushing the boundaries of academic knowledge in infectious diseases. We encourage you to learn more about our Infectious Disease recruitment schedules.
Note: Due to fellow-initiated switches, emergencies, and fitness for duty related issues, the final number of weeks/days on any particular service may not be equal for all fellows.
This is managed at the discretion of the Program Director (PD) and Program Administrator (PA). Any questions or concerns should be directed to the PA or the PD for clarification.
Scheduling for the Infectious Disease Fellowship program is as follows.
- 35 weeks of UH
- 35 weeks of VA/Crouse
- Four weeks of microlab
- 16 weeks of research
- Four weeks of elective (infection control, peds, transplant, STI)
If you have any questions about your scheduling, please reach out to our Fellowship Administrator, Danielle Scott, at scotdani@upstate.edu. She will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
